FAQs

What is medium duty cantilever racking, and how does it work?

Medium duty cantilever racking is a storage solution specifically designed to store long, bulky, or oversized items like timber, pipes, and building materials. The system uses strong horizontal arms that are supported by vertical columns, allowing easy access to your materials while making the best use of your warehouse's vertical space. This type of racking is perfect for non-palletised stock, allowing greater storage efficiency than standard pallet racking systems.

What are the benefits of medium duty cantilever racking?

Medium duty cantilever racking offers several key advantages: it optimises storage space, provides easy access to long or awkwardly shaped materials, and securely holds heavier items. This system is flexible, durable, and reliable, making it ideal for businesses that need to store a variety of materials. Plus, by improving warehouse efficiency, it ensures your operations run smoothly and with minimal downtime.

Which items can be stored in medium duty cantilever racking?

Medium duty cantilever racking is suitable for storing long, bulky, or irregular items such as timber, pipes, steel, metal sheets, aluminum, furniture, doors, and other large building materials. This is an essential storage solution for warehouses with products that don't quite fit in standard racking systems.

What configurations of medium duty cantilever racking are available?

Our medium duty cantilever racking systems are highly customisable to fit your specific storage needs. You can choose from various arm lengths, column heights, and bay lengths to build a cantilever racking system that works for your warehouse. Whether you need a single-sided or double-sided setup, we can tailor the configuration to maximise your space and make your operations more efficient.

Is medium duty cantilever racking suitable for my warehouse?

If your warehouse stores medium-weight materials like timber or pipes and you need quick access to long or bulky items, then medium duty cantilever racking is the answer. It improves storage efficiency and provides ample space for storing big, irregular products. We can assess your warehouse needs to see if this system is right for you.

How much weight can medium duty cantilever racking support?

Medium duty cantilever racking is designed for handling weights up to 1000kg per arm, depending on the arm length and configuration. Actual load capacity is dependent on arm length, column height, and bay length. We can help you select the right racking system based on your specific load requirements to ensure safety and efficiency.

Installing medium duty cantilever racking requires careful planning to ensure everything is set up correctly and safely. At Shelving Supply Australia, we offer expert installation services, ensuring that your racking system complies with Australian safety standards.
