Internal Sales Team Member - February 2026

Job Title: Internal Sales Team Member

Department: Internal Sales

Location: Office-based, full-time Monday to Friday

About the Role

This role is ideal for someone looking to learn the art of sales and customer relationships, build a valuable professional skill set, and grow within a business with a clear long-term career pathway.

Shelving Supply Australia (SSA) is seeking a motivated Internal Sales Team Member to join a fast-moving, supportive sales team. In this hands-on role, you’ll handle inbound enquiries, manage orders from quote through to dispatch, and help customers find the right shelving, racking, and drop shipping solutions.

You’ll work closely with our Sales and Marketing team to keep leads moving, orders accurate, and customers looked after. With clear, standardised processes from enquiry to delivery, you’ll thrive in a structured yet supportive environment where your contribution makes a real difference to the business.

Key Responsibilities

In this opportunity, you’ll handle important day-to-day sales and customer tasks — things that might seem routine on paper but at SSA, every action matters, and you’ll do it in a modern, supportive, and collaborative environment.

With guidance every step of the way, you’ll learn from experienced colleagues and see the direct impact of your efforts on customers and the business. Handle inbound calls, emails, and online enquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm, helping customers find the right solutions for their shelving and racking needs.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Qualify leads and manage orders for SSA products, including drop shipping items, small shelving solutions, cantilever racking, and small-to-medium pallet racking, ensuring a smooth and accurate process from start to finish.
  • Follow our proven sales process using HubSpot: record customer interactions, prepare invoices, confirm orders, and coordinate with the warehouse for timely picking and delivery.
  • Provide exceptional customer support by solving problems, guiding customers through their options, and resolving queries promptly to build trust and encourage repeat business.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in HubSpot to support reporting, team performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with post-sale follow-ups, stock updates, and customer support to ensure every interaction leaves a positive impression.
Collaborate with the marketing team to stay informed on promotions, product updates, and lead sources, improving the quality and effectiveness of sales conversations.
  • Participate actively in regular sales team meetings and training sessions to sharpen product knowledge, develop sales skills, and learn how a growing business operates.

What You’ll Learn & How You’ll Grow Within the Business

  • Sales & Customer Relationships – Managing leads, qualifying opportunities, and building strong customer relationships both remotely and in-person.
  • Problem Solving & Face-to-Face Customer Support – Engaging directly with customers in our showroom - understanding their needs, guiding them to the right solutions, and delivering a positive experience that builds trust.
  • Business Operations & CRM – Understanding the end-to-end process from enquiry to delivery, coordinating with the warehouse, and using HubSpot to track leads, orders, and performance.
  • Professional Skills & Team Collaboration – Improve communication, organisation, and time management while working within a supportive, modern sales and marketing team. Work collaboratively in a fast-moving environment to achieve big results both individually and for the
    team.
  • Career Growth – Build a foundation for long-term progression within SSA, with mentorship and guidance to prepare you for more senior sales, marketing or business development roles.

Where You’ll be Working

You’ll be based in a well-equipped office that provides everything team members need to work effectively. The office is set within a leafy estate, with a local café just down the road and a nearby park with a walking track — all within easy walking distance. On-site parking is available, and the space features a fully equipped kitchen, as well as indoor and outdoor eating and breakout areas. You’ll also be provided with a designated work laptop and phone to support your day-to-day tasks.

Growth Opportunities

This is a fantastic entry point into our Internal Sales Team, with real potential to progress! High performers can move into senior sales roles, specialise in certain products, or take on training and mentorship responsibilities as your skills grow.

If your professional goals include marketing and lead generation, you’ll also have the chance to work closely with our Marketing Lead. You could contribute to a variety of marketing tasks — such as email campaigns, paid ads support, website updates, or warm outreach — gaining experience across both sales and marketing functions.

You’ll receive ongoing coaching, product training, and regular quarterly check-ins to help you succeed, develop new capabilities, and align your role with your long-term career aspirations.

If you’re enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and ready to make an impact in a supportive, growing business, we’d love to hear from you!
